A friend of mine recently gifted me a small stone engraved with the word CREATE. A few years back a different friend had bestowed upon me two stones, DREAM & CREATE. I keep the stones in a box titled LIVE. The box includes an old Irish blessing; May the road rise to meet you, May the wind always be at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields, And until we meet again, May god hold you in the palm of his hand.
Those who know me and my studio, also know that I’m Irish, and Little Lady Studio’s original mantra is LIVE. DREAM. CREATE. My physiology has certainly kept me creating over the years but my mantra has kept me accountable! Because quite honestly, a bit in reverse, if I don’t create, I can’t dream which results in not fully living. I’m lucky to be able to consider all of you my friends and will continue to celebrate your involvement in my work. In times when I just want to throw in the towel, I’m reminded by carefully selected stones and keepsakes to celebrate creativity which results in successful business pursuits.
I have to say, we’re friends for life!
